Back before Terence Mckenna invented Psytrance, all we had was acoustic instruments. Acoustic guitars, acoustic violins and acoustic stylophones all proved to be very popular and can be heard on many of the classic Country and Western albums of the time.
So what's all this got to do with Sunset festival? Well many of those prehistoric instruments from a bygone age are going to be out in full force on the Acoustic Stage this year. Yes those archaic relics have been dug out of the museum so you can see and hear for yourself what all the fuss was about.
This is the place that is entirely CDJ free. Not a laptop or synth to be found anywhere in this tent of twang! For this is the sacred hallowed ground of “No Steinberg-Fruty-Logic-Applemac” and you must forsake all Midi files here.
So if you start to show symptoms of digital fever from catching a bout of SEO (sequenced electronica overload) then pop over to the acoustic stage where you will be served up a remedy of serendipitously crooked wonky time musical interplay. Real flesh and blood musicians will play and jig with passionate thrusts for your pleasure. Genuine sweat will pour from their torso's as they gyrate their instruments in glee. For this is the place for...ROCK N ROLL N CAKE!!
