The Sunset Cafe
The totem of Sunset.
Back in 2012 when we first launched the festival, the Sunset café became the hub for the whole festival. It was the centre point where we met, eat, laughed, cried and repeatedly became reminded as to why we were all there. Its the place where we met friends and found family. We shared our food, lives and love together and found peace in our community and our selves. Its the place where we acknowledged the problems of the world but discussed solutions. We pooled our knowledge and shared our experiences. We learnt to listen and find respect in others opinions. We sought to deepen ourselves, and our brothers and sisters around us. We learnt ways to work together for a greater good, to improve our lives, our family’s, and this beautiful earth we live on.
This year we want to build on the success of the original Sunset café and expand on what we've started to create. To accommodate all our new ideas were planing to increase the size and scope of the cafe for everyone to enjoy. To help realise these new idea's we have appointed a new café elf. Drum roll...fanfare...crazy guitar solo...swirly effect pad number 147 with massive reverb.......PALFREY!!!
Most people have met Palf at some time and know him to be one of the most hard working and easy going fella's around. Which is really useful when your knee deep in mud, chai and a hundred and fifty dazed hippy's! The bruv also happens to be one of the most experienced café managers on the festival circuit which is giving us a lot of confidence to expand the café into new realms and possibilities. As these idea's unfold over the summer we'll keep you updated :) Also again for this year we've been granted the gift of being open twenty four hours. Yeeeeeeeeah! So once again the Sunset cafe will be able to nurture your being though a full twenty four hour lunar cycle of healing bliss of food, music, company and love:)
And the Sunset cafe menu?
The finest sourced vegetarian food that our master chef's can bring to your pallet. Served on the grandest of paper recyclable plates, brought to your personal beanbag by our very own happy Sunset fairys for your pleasure and delight. Oh and the coffees really really good!
